It seems amazing that January is over already.
To me, February is always about the SMSF Association National Conference and Heffron will be there in force this year. Lyn Formica, Leigh Mansell and I will all be speaking and we hope to see you at our sessions. In fact you have no excuse – at least one of us is speaking on every day of the conference.
Even if you can’t make it to a session, drop by our stand (#15). We’d love to see you and introduce you to other Heffron people you may not have met. We will have new things to show and the team have dreamed up a mega SMSF quiz to make sure you have something to do during the breaks. Make sure you give it a shot. (Spoiler alert – not all the questions are technical SMSF issues. So seriously, everyone should give this a shot.)
Finally, if you’re a member of the SMSF Association you’ll have seen their recent email announcing Heffron as one of the inaugural “Accredited Educators”. We’re delighted that the Association has recognised the role Heffron has played for many years in educating SMSF professionals. To be called out as a firm the Association trusts to uphold their high standards for SMSF education is both gratifying and humbling and an amazing endorsement of Lyn Formica and her team.
This won’t mean any change to our usual training approach – we’ll always have the “expert yet practical” flavour that our clients love. But you will find much more of our material is specifically accredited as SMSF Association CPD.
If you’re not an SMSF Association member, don’t worry – our education will still be just as relevant to you as always and where applicable will continue to be fully accredited by the FPA and recognised by other accounting and industry bodies. We remain completely committed to being an educator of any professional wishing to learn about SMSFs – in fact you will see a lot of new Heffron education opportunities over the coming months as we increase our commitment to this part of our business.
